What is a "tabblo"?
A tabblo is a collection of photos and words brought together by a stylized template that can be customized to your heart's content. A tabblo lives at a permanent URL and can be private, accessed by whoever you invite, or public for the whole world to see.
How do I use my tabblos?
You can share your tabblos, publish them to other sites or blogs, or just keep them to yourself. Once you've designed a tabblo, the only limit in how you use it is your imagination.
Can anyone see my tabblos?
That depends on you. As the final step in your design of a tabblo, you get to choose a level of privacy which applies to people who come to the URL either within the Tabblo community or from the world at large.
What is my "Circle"?
Your circle is the group of people who you would like to collaborate with either by sharing pictures for creating tabblos, or by swapping commentary on the tabblos each of you makes.
What will you do with my email address?
Send you your password if you forget it, send it to the people you invite to see your tabblos, send you comments (if you like) that others make on your tabblos, and contact you (if you choose to let us) about service improvements. Nothing else. Period. We won't sell your email to third parties or use it to market anything not directly related to the Tabblo service.
Is there a limit to how much I can upload?
Not now. We are going to try very hard to keep it this way and have some smart software that should help.
Can I download high-resolution versions of my photos?
Absolutely. The era of the "roach motel" for photos is finally drawing to an end.
How are the posters made?
The posters are made with an 4-color offset digital press, as opposed to a silver-halide or photographic process. Magazines are printed with offset presses, 4x6 prints are silver-halide. The posters are then coated for a glossy finish (and durability). Both the inks and substrate (paper) are archival quality which means that they should last "a really long time."
Why are all my pictures not on my Poster?
We optimize the pictures for the poster size that you choose. This means that on the "Print Preview" page is an accurate preview of what we will print. On that very same page you can click "make edits to your tabblo?". This will bring you to edit mode but with the addition of a red line displayed where the bottom of the poster will be.
What if I am not happy with my poster?
Mail it back to us and we will issue you a full credit. At Tabblo we believe that satisfaction should be 100% guaranteed.
How can you keep running this site if it's free and not cluttered with ads?
Well, we make money on the printed stuff that comes from your tabblos. And in the future, we are going to introduce premium services. However, the Tabblo service you know and use today will remain free for as long as we can support it.
