Tabblo Lets People Design Their Own Personalized Photo Cards

Next-Generation Photo Site's Revolutionary Online Design Tools Make it Easy to Create Postcards from Personal Pictures

Cambridge, Mass., October 16, 2006 — Tabblo Inc., the creator of the next-generation, collaborative online photo-sharing site www.tabblo.com, today launched a new way for members to get creative by designing their own postcards. The cards leverage Tabblo's art-director-in-software approach in the design process thus allowing users to create multi-photograph products with text and styling elements that possess the fit and finish of professionally-designed materials. Sample uses of Tabblo's new postcards include:

  • Save-the-date wedding announcements
  • "We're moving..." cards
  • Concert promotion flyers
  • Thank you cards
  • School event announcements
  • Art exhibit promotion cards
"Traditionally, photo sites provide a simple card template and let you drop in one picture. Your creations are bound by the layout and designs presented to you," said Antonio Rodriguez, founder and CEO of Tabblo. "Tabblo empowers people to be creative by giving them the tools to make cards with the text, pictures, layouts and colors they want with as little effort as possible. This is what Tabblo is all about: giving people great looking results no matter how much time, effort, or experience they have to provide during the creation process. Whether you're making an online album or laying out a printed piece like a postcard or poster, everything we offer is built on this same philosophy. We let you create pieces that will make your friends and family say 'wow, I can't believe you did that'."

Tabblo's unique and powerful layout and design tools help users create beautiful and impactful cards in minutes. People can start with Tabblo's classy designs and layouts featuring from one to six photos, and then, if they wish, customize their card by adding text blocks; using photo effects; modifying layouts including resizing, cropping and zooming, swapping photos, etc.; and customizing background and text colors. This type of control lets people create unique cards that serve their specific purpose such as a birth announcement, party invitation, change of address card, thank you note, vacation postcard, or simply a funny missive to send to a friend.

Easy ways to give Tabblo postcards a try—even if you're not yet a member

The cards are available immediately on the Tabblo Web site at www.tabblo.com. People—both members and non-members — can get started quickly by sending one to six pictures to postcards@tabblo.com and then waiting for a notification that their card is ready for editing (non-members will be prompted to create an account). Tabblo members can also create postcards from their existing online albums or "tabblos" by clicking on the "purchase" link.

The 4x6 inch postcards cost $1.49 each and are available in units as small as 10 cards.
