..the city, its places, its neighborhoods, its architecture, its people, ... as long as it's about Chicago here is a place for it.

No, thank you! You have a wonderful 'eye'. My wife and sons visited the Conservatory a couple of weeks ago, but I was unable to go... your photos of Niki in the garden are beautiful.

It seems that the tabblos for Esiagian and ElZorroTOX have disappeared... unless they were removed from the group by their creators. There are reports of this happening in the forums, so if that is what's happened I hope the problem is resolved soon.

Best Places to take pictures in Chicagoland? created by Lunaticprophet on Nov 15, 2006:

Have some spots that you love to shoot from? Wanna share the knowledge? Come on, give it up... you know you really want to. Ok.. I'll start... the best place to get skyline shots requires you to be on the water... in a boat (I think that would be best). But if you're not one of the lucky ones to own or have friends that own a boat then your best best (IMO) is McFetridge Drive/Solidarity Drive between the Adler Planetarium and the Shedd Aquarium. At night or during the day there are just gorgeous views of the skyline surrounding Grant Park (which I think is the best skyline view in Chicago). In fact, I think that the entire Museum Campus area affords some of the best shots of the Grant Park / Skyline / Lakeshore / Navy Pier areas not to mention Soldier Field and the buidlings that make up the Museum Campus and Waverly Island. In short, this area is a treasure trove for shooters.

Ok, I'm totally new to this tabblo thing. I've been using Flickr for the past year or so and before that I was using a public photo site run by the 'lil guy' (re: not corporate) that was much better than anything I've found... until I found this site. I like the no limit, build as many tabloos as you like approach and laying them out like a website/blog is totally cool. And unlike Flickr, it's fully functional without having to pay subscription. Some interface tweeks and more efficient underlying architecture and this should be the go-to site for photos. That said.. how surprised was I to find that there wasn't one single group devoted to Chicago! I'm sorry, but that's completely unacceptable. Chicago... my home town.... the most beautiful city in the world, at the very least deserves its own group on Tabblo. So here it is... as long as it's about Chicago, it's all good here!
