My name is Jeff Engel, from Boston area, and I traveled to New Mexico for the 1st time since 1984 (I was 13 then) in August 2006. I had a blast. I went to White Sands, Valley of Fires, the Very Large Array (VLA), Roswell and Carlsbad/Guadelupe area, and saw everything in between. I cannot wait to go again. I still haven't been up to the north part of New Mexico, but I really like the desolation and quiet I experienced in the south part... away from all the big cities and Starbucks and all that.
