I'm using a Mac and firefox. When I upload my pictures to tabblo and enlarge them, the pictures go out of focus. Example is in my last tabblo, the writing is unreadable yet I'm able to read it on my Mac screen. In order for my pics to focus properly on tabblo, I have to reduce the size. I've only recently seen this problem since my return to tabblo. Thanks in advance for checking.

What I am wanting to do is upload from iPhone to Tabblo. The easiest I could think of was from iPhone by Flickr app, then integrate from Flickr to Tabblo. If there is an uploader that can go directly to Tabblo, please tell me. Thank you!

I made a series of tabblos last fall (30 or 40 that linked together) and sometime within the six months that followed almost all of the text shrunk. (I'm not sure when it happened but just noticed it when I went back to have a look.)

I've tried to go back and increase the size and sometimes I can but most times it won't work. Sometimes I get an error message, sometimes nothing happens, sometimes part of a paragraph will go to a larger font and the rest stays the same. Here is an example page: http://www.tabblo.com/studio/stories/view/1659261/ (The text should fill the spaces between photos.)

I've noticed that in the thumbnail images the text is the original size. Also, tabblos I made before and after that project are fine.

Any ideas? I want to print the tabblos out to put in a notebook and the thought of slogging through all the pages to fix something that wasn't broken is daunting!

hi Eric, thanks for the explanation and fixing my tabblo, now i wonder...is it just me, or is the whole system running slow??? pics take LONG times to load, the comments take forever or you have to refresh or cancel...both ways you cant leave a comment...i know i get frustrated because i cant easily view the new work my friends put out, or they think you've done a view with no comment. I have latest Safari, and firefox 3 something, i did not downland 3.5 yet due to security issues they have to fix. other sites i visit are fine. still love ya though!!!!!!! :) the best people are right here :)

Newbie! After reading about 15 posts, I almost feel guilty about asking a basic question. I need to put Tabblos in chronological order even though I am not entering them in that way. It is fine if I had to call them 1,2,3, and then if I needed to insert 2.5, I would change the rest of the numbers to fit.

Is there any way to reorder the Tabblo, not the photos within them, besides newest created, oldest, most viewed, etc.?

I always use a lay-out with rectangular format. I crop my photos when I edit and then upload to tabblo. Sometimes the photos are arbitrarily cropped again when entered into the lay-out. Is there an aspect ratio I can use when I crop my photos that will ensure they will appear in their entirety in the final tabblo?

YOU WOULD THINK THAT TO GENERATE MORE REVENUE LOGICALLY, THEY WOULD INVEST IN THIS SITE ...THUS MORE FOLKS WOULD STAY AND MORE FOLKS WOULD JOIN AND PROBABLY THEN, AFTER HAVING NOT MANY ISSUES WITH TABBLO MAKING, THEN BUY MORE TABBLO CONCEPT PRODUCTS.

So, please feel free to jump in Tabblo Exec if any of these thoughts are not correct...........PMC (and others await)

I believe we've discovered and resolved this problem BUT...it's not been implemented on the live servers yet. I expect the fix to be online over the weekend.

Can the people who were experiencing this problem keep an eye on it over the weekend and please report any changes?

Hi. Have been away from tabblo for several months. During last week have tried several times to create a new tabblo. At first the edit function worked but when I came back to continue making my tabblo later, could not get it to work again. I use windows xp prof operating system, and IE 7 browser. If I upload lots of photos, like 40 or 50, tabblo accepts my upload and my transfer into a lightbox, and will dump them all into a haphazard online tabblo. But then when I try to move photos around to put into chronological order, change sizes, etc cannot do. I go to edit and do not see toolbars across bottom of screen. I have tried to begin a tabblo with just a few pics, hoping to add pics as I go along but edit function does not work this way either. Have tried to empty cache, restart browser, etc but n.g. Have deleted about 5 new unfinished tabblos, and have 2 that I started and can't work with up now. PLease help. Thanks, John

FYI - I do NOT work for Tabblo - but know this will help.

When reporting problems, share with Tabblo

* your operating system (e.g. windows xp, windows vista, MAC Leopard etc...)
* browser (e.g. firefox 3.1, IE7, Safari 3.1 etc...)
* a link to your tabblo

It will probably help them figure out what is going on. They test on "their browsers" and the "browsers they plan to support". But then there is the rest of us working with our real browsers.

For those on Mac Leopard... the latest 10.5.6 update did some weird stuff to Safari. Getting several unexpected behaviors with Gmail, Smugmug ... so that could be it too.

And if so, how do we know how far that is? (The option to change grid lines (which I can't see anyway) from coarse to med to fine is nowhere to be found in either of my browsers.)

Now when I view a pdf of my photobook, the entire page (straight up to all 4 edges) is visible. Does this mean the entire page is safe?

Finally, do we need to worry about keeping a safe area from the binding? In other words, will the (even/odd) pages lose a bit from the (right/left) inside edge because it will be buried in the binding? Or does Tabblo already take this into account in the tabblo editing web page (so everything we can see there will be safe from the inside binding?

I noticed that when I create a Tabblo it is dated when I created it. However, if I need to work on it for any period of time, when I do post it, the date is not the day I actually posted. I started a tabblo yesterday but didn't post until today. But it is showing up as though I posted on Dec. 7 instead of today--
Dec 8. This is very misleading. I think that the date should be the day it is actually posted public or by invites.

The Tabblo ends up buried rather than at the beginning of the new tabblos. Is there anyway you can change that or do you have any suggestions.

ERIC--I'm making a tabblo and every time i add a photo or move or resize, I have to refresh. It's really frustrating.

Hello Tabblo....something funny has happened to the text box. When I drag one over, fill it in with some text, the ending area that is required is much greater than what is actually needed. Example, in the past, for me to put in two lines of text, I would make the text box size wide enough for two lines to fit in and maybe 3 or 4 medium grids in vertical length. Now to get the same results from 2 lines I need to extend the vertical length much more than 4 medium grids. It makes for much more empty space than whats really needed. Thanks for checkin.

ERIC--On my nature musing tabblo the background looks black in the thumbnail but when you open it it has that funky textured background. So i tried to edit it and the background is marked as black, but it has the wrong background. And it won't change to black. What's up with that.

Again--the stack overflow issue. This Time it says "Stack overflow at line 456."

Is anybody working on this problem. It freezes Explorer and I have to do the old "End Task. If i have anyother window tabs open, of course i loose all that.

Eric or Ned--Can you please tell us what the problem is and why it can't be corrected.

Notice in Safari 3.1.2 (latest release for PC), the tools are on the other side of the page, which differs from IE 7 and 8, but the tools are lightning fast and pics and tools work very well in this browser. Would recommend this browser if Internet Explorer has issues in the creation of a tabblo. Will see what chrome, opera, and mozilla/seamonkey do as well.

Hi, please see the tabblo I just added, "Cats by Dawn". If you look at the closeup on right bottom, you'll see that the image is quite sharp. The same portion of the picture in the big one is slightly blurred. They are about the same scale.

I used four instances of the same photo (dragged from toolbox).

This evening I downloaded a couple of photographs to make a tabblo but I was very disappointed with the result. Both original photographs are extremely sharp so much so that on one of them you can see the individual feathers on the heron's neck. The uploaded versions are soft and look as if they are out of focus. I have left the tabblo in Private mode until I hear from you to tell me that there has been a change at Tabblo or I am doing something wrong. This is the first time I have noticed this problem. Thank you for looking into this matter.

After creating my tabblo http://www.tabblo.com/studio/stories/view/1573980/ I tried to get the HTML code for my blog which is when I got the pop up "Server error and problem communicating with server...you may have lost some of your tabblo" and when I went back to the tabblo the tabblo was messed up text re-aligned and a few images disappeared. When I re-did the whole tabblo saved it again and went back to get the html code, each time the same message popped up, and I CAN'T GET THE HTML CODE at all. It's missing in parts and the page won't let me copy it. How can this be fixed? I am stuck with a tabblo that I can't post on my blog or website.

I wrote out a rant about how a simple but appealing tabblo I made a long time ago, "Two Solitudes," has somehow been destroyed in my absence. But at this point I don't see any point in posting the detailed reasons for my anger. I don't think anyone at Tabblo really gives a damn anyway. The tabblo's prior gray shades had been replaced by the peach stucco background of the original style. My attempts to restore the gray failed and I don't see much point in continuing. You at Tabblo have made something that appealed to me and turned it into crap, yet it's still associated with my efforts, not yours. Thanks, that was nice of you.

But then it fits with your having removed the search function. What would a community be if people could find each other? Especially new people. Can't have that. Drop it. Luckily I can still tell people who know nothing about Tabblo to use Google and search for "tabblo" and my nick. But then you've got a thing about bots. Too much band width supposedly. So how long will the google bot be allowed to scan the site, especially when the HP people find out that it can be used to enable building of the Tabblo community? After all it's all about a web print service now. Use someone else's bandwidth.

Quit being gutless. Either drop the community, which you people seem to be trying to force away, or charge for it like Flickr does and restore the prior features.

Stop adding features that are really covers for dropping features. It's insulting.

I only happened by because I saw some old friends and I told them how to use Google to find my Tabblo stuff. Now I'm not sure how thoroughly you people have made my work look like crap. Thanks Tabblo. Your latest feature set is very effective.

Now my problem. I could not upload photos until I downloaded the Active X. No problem there. But, I do not always want to make a tabblo immediately. Once I click upload, the photos are directed to a new tabblo page. If I add a photo after starting a page, the program wants to make a new tabblo page. How can I fix this????

Yesterday I introduced my sister to Tabblo and showed her how to make a tab... it was so frustrating that I'm not sure she will continue... took us forever (3 hours) to make a simple tab... the photos would not stay put... the overlap function would not stay on so every once in awhile all the photos would re-adjust and not overlap throwing them down to the bottom and we'd have to start all over.

It'd be nice if, say, double-clicking on an image caused it to come to the front. It appears to have something to do with the order in which they're added to the layout, but I can't consistently get the behavior I'm looking for.

I can go to IE and create and can add text in Firefox after it is already created. However, when I create a text box in Firefox, it won't work. I just made a tabblo... used the Peacock style... you cannot see the comments... I don't know what to do... tried changing things without changing my colors... changed to a different style using the same colors though... didn't help.

Why couldn't the comment box always be white with black letters or something??

Don't know how to solve my problem without changing the background color... feel the comments should show up since that is the Peacock color scheme...

Any ideas??

In one 7 hr. window, I received 52 emails notifying me of Tabblos that have been made or added to certain groups, all from the same member. How can I stop this? I did add this person to my block list but that's only to block invites, not email notification of a tabblo being added to a certain list. As a last resort I clicked on the 'unsubscribe' part in the email to not receive notifications when something is added to that group which is not what I want to do. However, it doesn't work! Shortly after unsubscribing I got 4 more email notifications from that particular group!! And as I'm typing this I just received 5 more notifications from this same person. HELP!!

I know this was mentioned someplace else before, but I couldn't find it because we no longer have the search function. I still get the narrow group sharing window when I try to share a tabblo with a group. I have to go to the groups page and then click on share tabblo with this group, and that window works fine. Also, I'm having quite the problems posting to the forms. The same problem that someone else mentioned about old text remaining in the window, and not being able to be deleted by backspacing. I gave advice to select all before using delete or clear, but that didn't work for me in here. I couldn't just select what was in the message window and the whole page was being selected. And the other problem was that after I wrote the topics name, I couldn't make the cursor go into the text window to begin typing my message. The two problems might be related. I just wrote this in a text program, so hopefully when I go back I can just open a window and copy and paste this in. Oh, and I'm using a Mac, Firefox when I make tabblos, and Safari as my default browser, so it's the one that opens when I click on a link to the forums from my email, and so it's the one I'd be using to write a response in here.

well, IF I send more than ONE message, when i start my 2nd message, the MESSAGE BOX (where I will type my NEW message) is FULL w/ my PREVIOUS MESSAGE. so, I try to DELETE or CLEAR - nothing works - so i try to BACK SPACE to erase old msg and get

THE ABOVE ERROR MSG! It LOCKS up my computer until I do "CTRL" + "ALT" + "DELETE"... which closes out ENTIRE page.

Most frustrating of all is that I don't know when people have commented on my tabblos... This was the feature I liked most about Tabblo (other then just seeing the world through other's eyes)...

I try to do an online format, a book, or even a comic, and it wont load my lightbox or let me make anything.....it saves them totally blank and says not finished on my main account page, then when i go into the edit mode, nothing comes up! The "Select groups" box in the "Share tabblo" page is very narrow. This problem has been there for some time and still persists. The actual symptom is that, for a fraction of a second it has the right size and position and then it moves to the right and becomes very narrow.

Also, there still are some focus problems - I had trouble putting cursor in the edit boxes using the mouse and had to tab in when posting this message.

When clicking on the "Hi user name" link in the top right of the screen, and when I clicked on a link to "highlight" a Tabblo as Featured in Weekly Challenge, I am redirected to the correct URL - however, it uses https instead of http.

I get a certificate error I can ignore - but the style sheet for the pages is "different" and the look and feel breaks.

Hope this is enough detail.

It won't let me close the message and move on, it forces me to close down my IE and sign on again. Sometimes it just lets me send the message without a problem. What's up?

Okay, I uploaded photos to make a photocube (Which took an act of God to do, by the way) and after I arranged the photos and printed, I wanted to move the pictures around. I went back to edit the cube and the the inidividual squares showing each picture are gone. Instead, there's a long, tall skinny box showing a teeny, tiny pictures. I got so frustrated that I decided to start over. However, my pictures are nowhere to be found. Do they not upload and stay when making a photocube? Holy cow. Tabblo has become WAY TOO MUCH WORK.
