I can't get away from the OLPC— no matter how unusable it is, kids are still drawn to it. This morning we went to Whit's birthday party where Grace had her own OLPC (equally unusable as Alex's) but before long both computers were the stars of the party with all of the kids.

In the ensuing playdate, everyone "played computers" though it quickly became obvious that the playing did not actually involve having the computers do anything coherent.
