I met Tony back in 2002. He hadnt met Stephanie yet so he was in a pretty sad state.
When we met that year we clicked right away. I guess i really didnt see it at the time i met him but as I looked back to prepare this speech I believe he was a lonely man.
Don't get me wrong, he was a happy go lucky guy, but no where near as happy as he is now. Now I see that he was mising something in his life.
And I truly believe that that something he was missing was that pretty lady by his side. Stephanie. After I moved back to the valley, Tony and I kept in touch a little. He is bad at replying to emails, so he never mentioned he had a girlfriend before I went back to Austin in the Fall 2003. |

I found out about Stephanie when I askedTony if I could crash at his place till I found an apartment. When he asked me if I remembered Stephanie, I said "The girl with the Silver Jetta?". He was a little surprised that I remembered that about her.
I like to think that Steph and I clicked right away as well. Stephanie is probably the only girlfriend of a friend that I honestly consider a friend. I consider her just as good a friend as Tony. We can talk, tell lies, just like old friends. Sometimes Steph and i will talk and forget Tony is even there. Sorry Tony. Seeing them together over these past years proves to me that true love does exist. Mix that with a lot of laughter, good friends, family, and you got the whole world in front of you.
So here is to a lifetime together, and a lifetime of making me sick with your lovey dovey stuff. |
