The Itinerary:

March 24, 2006 - The soft start to our Road Trip.  We drove from Calgary to Medicine Hat and stayed at Scott's grandparent's house.

March 25, 2006 - Medicine Hat to Regina for Scott's cousin's wedding that night.

March 26, 2006 - Our journey from Regina to Canada's worst city (I've visited so far), Winnipeg.

March 27, 2006 - We drove from Winnipeg through North Dakota to Minneapolis, Minnesota.  The accents were shockingly Fargo-ish.  After trying to figure out our way through a jungle of concrete, we were able to find a motel by the epitome of consumerism, The Mall of America.   Sadly, it doesn't compare to West Ed.

March 28, 2006 - Leaving early in the morning, we made our way from Minneap0lis to Milwaukee.  We had one motive - - BREWERY TOUR!  We were able to catch the Miller tour, which of course, included free samples at the end.  Delicious.  We were also able to snag tickets to an NBA game for that night and watch Steve Nash in action.

March 29, 2006 - We left the relative security of Milwaukee to the panic-attack inducing Chicago.  Driving through its downtown was slightly overwhelming, but exhilerating.  We made our way up to the top of the Sears Tower, and walked around for quite a while.  We had plans to stay there, but thought better of it and got a head-start on our long trip home by driving to Davenport, Iowa.

March 30, 2006 - With a lot of hours between us and Calgary, we moved on.  I was (finally) allowed to drive and went all the way through Iowa and into South Dakota.  Scott took over in the afternoon and drove us across S.D. until we hit a freak snowstorm at around 11pm.  Although the snow was wet, visibility was so poor we had to pull into Wall, SD.

March 31, 2006 - Woke up  to a sunny morning.  There wasn't a trace of the snowstorm that had panicked us the night before.  We were able to leave at around 6 am and visited the famous Wall Drug Store.  Since we were in the area, we decided to be true tourists and caught a glimpse of Mount Rushmore.  That day we cleared South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana.  We had planned on staying in Great Falls, but what we didn't realize was that it was a Friday night in a casino town.  With nowhere to stay but scummy hotels, we reluctantly continued on home, crossing the border at around 11 pm and getting home by 2 am.
