Saturday, October 28 2006, Masako and I went to see the mountains in Akiyamago, Nagano for autumn leaves in mountain scenery.  To get there, we took the road in the first picture that was not always wide enough for two cars to pass.  Usually on Japanese roads, they handle this kind of situation well, but not this time during peak season so the traffic was a disaster.  We saw rich colors of red, yellow and green, and even some wild monkeys and ducks.

After this bridge, we had a chance to get out and see some colorful trees on  the sheer edge of the mountainside.
