Moon Shots II

These Exposures range from 1/40th of a second to 4 seconds, Starting at the top. It was too overcast to get a clear shot so I used the tree as a foreground to give the images some depth. The clouds created kind of a Halo effect.

These are really great! I can't get enough of the moon. I need to learn so much about manual settings. It is still intimidating to me. Looks like you have it mastered!

Thank you all so much for the great comments, Carlton and Engel I really liked the composition of these shots also, I thought the tree just set it off, And a Blue filter would probably look pretty cool as well as a yellow. Dee you have a great eye so dont be afraid to experiment with manual mode, here is an easy one to try with manual it is called the sunny 16 rule shoot some shots in sunlight with your shutter speed at 125 and aperature at 16, if your camera does not go to 16 then try shutter speed at 250 and aperature at 8 both settings will work and see what you think of the results.

These are magnificent! The moon is such a great subject--I really love the way the tree branches and clouds create a mood. Beautiful work!!

Thanks HP for sending me an email about this comment regarding manual mode. I am so busy with tabblo and other things that sometimes I just forget to check comments on some of the sites I have visited and have asked questions. I need to set my notifications. I'll try to get better at that. I will give the sunny 16 rule a try. I appreciate your help!
