Spring Awakens
She sat there, Still as the statue of granite that rested beside her. Silent Angel, with wings of white And tears of silver, Why sit thou so quiet? Amidst a storm of snow and ice You remain umoving as your counterpart, Cold as the snow that laces your Thick lashes and ebony tresses. Why does thou not reach for the heavens? Frozen yet as beautiful as ice You remain. What does your heart seek? Is it love lost that causes your greif? Sad Angel fear not, a kiss will remove your pain. Your love waits for enternity For your shell of ice to break, So that thou may destroy his. White hands rest against freezing granite Slender digits stroke it with care, Poor Angel, Warm his lips with yours. Bring love back to this lifeless form, And all shall be well. Smile Angel, and the sun will shine, The ice will melt and the snow will cease. Laugh Angel and the spell will break, Rivers will run and birds will sing. Shout your joy and love will live again.
