Mjpileggi said at 9:17 a.m. on Apr 12, 2008: Thanks everyone for the compliments! I've been using my new Nikon D80 and Nikon 35-70mm lens. It has a close up feature, which I used on this photo, along with some on the other bradford pear tree photos. Eduardo, these flowers are about to drop, but I was able to take my photos right a peak time.

Hollyridger said at 11:21 a.m. on Apr 29, 2008: This is a beautiful photo, Monica. I appreciate what you said in a later tabblo about not being able to justify the cost of a macro lens versus a close up lens that you would have a lot more use for. I, too, have been down this road, so to speak, and so far have resisted the purchase of a Macro lens.!

Mjpileggi said at 3:49 p.m. on Jul 29, 2008: Holly, I'm quite happy with my 35-70mm lens. I get close enough to enjoy what I take. Maybe someday I'll end up with a true macro lens. One lens at a time! :)
