My back hurts just looking at all your work. Like your spiffy new wheelbarrow. So what are you going to plant. And when can we expect the first crop? I with Leftie--ready for the fresh salas and ribs. Guess we'll be taking the magic bus up to see you for a visit.I'll bring the brownies. So nice to see a tabblo from you.

Oh, my aching back!! :-) So much work, but, oh, so rewarding. I like your raised beds...we've started that this year. I look forward to seeing 'tabblo reports' of things growing. Very nice tabblo!!

Thanks everyone! You're all so very kind. It's not so easy to document something without including a bunch of otherwise uninteresting shots. If I had restricted my self to only including photos that I thought had any merit, I would have had only a two or three shot tabblo. I've seen photo documentations with every image being something the photographer must have been proud to present, so that is definitely something to work toward.

Annelies: Ribs and salad coming up! <G> ... just have to plant the seeds, grow the veggies, and find a recipe for ribs; ... but with the Magic bus, anything's possible so I can have anything, anybody wants, ready and prepared in a blink of an eyes. <G>

Linda, radishes will be the first to be ready, in about a months time after planting, and the asparagus that I've made a seperate bed for (the last photo) takes three years before you can harvest anything. I'm planting, asparagus, tomatoes, cherry and beefsteak, sugar snap peas, bush beans, zucchini, red and green leaf lettuce, walla walla onions (love saying that), brussel sprouts, swiss chard, and one more thing which I haven't decided on yet. - spinach, peppers, or cukes? Thanks again everyone; I'm off to the garden store to get the support fencing for the pea! :)
Lifequest22 said at 4:22 p.m. on Apr 26, 2008:
I vote for the spinach.
Debdog said at 5:39 p.m. on Apr 26, 2008:
YUM nothing better than fresh veggies :)
AliDar said at 7:00 p.m. on Apr 26, 2008:
Spinach it is! ... and bunch onions, and one hot pepper plant. ... I'll just have to put the pepper in a pot is all. <G>

That's was some hard work. But there is something so incredibly rewarding about growing your own salads and other veggies. Enjoy the harvest!

DAr this is may be my favorite of all of your tabblos..first, the layout is just mesmerising..the black and white of the wheelbarrow is perfection. Even in the b&w you captured the shiny ness of the paint and the reflection (which I love_ ) ok..also. the story. wow. you had me with the gloves. and..was your camera on a tripod? Because the POV is just so interesting. Anyway, i wont go on and on. but i do hope you update us, and that you know how wonderful this tabblo is.
PaulBarfoot said at 8:15 a.m. on Apr 29, 2008:
A great picture story. I love the shiny new wheelbarrow and the turned earth contrast. I hope you do a series of these as the garden grows.
Wahoogin said at 9:27 p.m. on May 1, 2008:
Great storytelling!
Siagian said at 12:19 p.m. on May 2, 2008:
LOL! hey Dar! watch that back of yours...forget about the wheelbarrow! =)
Eduardo.affonso said at 1:30 p.m. on May 3, 2008:
Hey, you worked hard! But that's exactly my idea of "having fun". When I visit my family in our little farm I always find a way to take care of the garden, plant one more tree, or just talk to the plants (yes, I'm one of those crazy guys who talk to plants). Good look with your veggies!
