Pkeener said at 8:07 p.m. on May 2, 2008: Thanks! I caught them just as I was walking up to take some photos of the Festival parade in the street. they were on the back dock of the restaurant surrounded by all this excitement and color below them, and i was so amazed at the irony. they were kitchen staff, for sure, but not sure if they were cooks. i quickly fired off the shots, as people were walking into the scene. and honestly, i was more excited about this than all the other colorful ones i took. Don's Seafood is well established hangout in downtown Lafayette.

Jigs said at 9:31 p.m. on May 2, 2008: You know what this shot reminds me of, Pam - those simple but beautifully moving human-interest photos I so loved looking at in the old Life magazines! They capture what seems to be ordinary moments and the photography - the lighting, the expressions, the perspective - elevate these moments into something special.
