At My Great Grandmother's House

My  great grandmother would not let me go outside and play unless I had a hat on. After getting into a heated argument where I absolutely refused to wear one of her old bonnets ( I'm not joking) I settled for  my great grandfather's old derby. The photo was taken in the mid-fifties about thirty-five miles outside of Paris.

Thanks for the compliment Alex, never thought you would say that in your life time to dear old Pop. I guess I don't look too bad in this one, it all seems to be many centuries ago. But I do remember this incident vividly. However, I don't remember anyone taking a picture of it. I can say with certainty that I would NOT look good in a bonnet.
