'But you do not have to eat me', said the mouse, from within the glass where he sat.
'Oh, but I do', came the hissed reply, 'for quite simply, I'm a cat'.
'But I'm hardly a meal', squeaked the timorous mouse. 'You could spare me and break nature's law'.
'Impossible', purred the smiling cat, grasping the mouse with a paw.
There's no moral to my tale. Although, to me, it illustrates that: A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. And I guess that goes for felines, too. |
