A lot of tired muscians who traveled so far to be a part of this fantastic event. I'll be back to visit again to take this all in and to be able savor all these great pics. Love it, Amiga. Another smile on my face.

Leftofcenter said at 1:19 a.m. on May 15, 2008: backstage is kuel especially with a Keener pass- it's like being there, the crew and roadies takin a power nap whenever they can, the musicians arriving, all the electrical wiring.. yea, I feel the buzz- u caught it all with yr pics.
Suhud said at 1:27 a.m. on May 15, 2008: brilliant i guess. something that we miss a lot. backstage is a kind of 'hidden' environment. and you tell us that 'missing' part.
AliDar said at 2:29 a.m. on May 15, 2008: OH! I think you snapped a pic of Hendrix!!!!!

Chaitiamma said at 11:07 a.m. on May 15, 2008: Backstage is always another world compare to the front, excitement, waiting, nervous, another long waiting then the full excitement of going on stage. Great Tabblo !!!
Pkeener said at 1:00 p.m. on May 15, 2008: Hey, thank you! I love being a fly on the wall, and it is especially rewarding when I am able to be part of the crew with Carte Blanche. it was so exciting to be on stage behind the scenes, and it's a bit dificult to concentrate on taking good photos, but very fun to be in the moment.
Den, aren't we all a bit voyeuristic in our role as photographer? ;)
21-gramm said at 3:23 p.m. on May 15, 2008: Of course, Pam! I joked a little bit! Exact your hands and your lens!

Eduardo.affonso said at 8:20 a.m. on May 17, 2008: This kind of tabblo should be called "Pam Special" - here is your talent for documentary photos, capturing what is behind the scene, hidden details, the not so glamourous part of show business. It's real life, and that's why I llike it so much.
Pkeener said at 10:55 a.m. on May 17, 2008: Thank you , Edu! You knowhow i love these behind the scens picture taking opportunities. Marian, You know their music? I was so impressed to learn of their popularity all over the world, but especially in Europe. I did dance!
Abking said at 12:06 a.m. on May 18, 2008: Tough work putting on a show, and it shows. Got to nap when you can. There are some interesting musical instruments here, like the gourd/xylophone. Some great smiles, and a sense of anticipation drifting through the photos.
Pkeener said at 1:22 a.m. on May 18, 2008: Allan, thank you for your great insight. The instrument is exactly what you described. It is called a balafone. The musician, Keletigui Diabate, practically 80 years old, has been in the studio with every major player, including Lionel Hampden. He is the sweetest soul. He made this balafone with his own hands!!
Sirnicolay said at 2:54 a.m. on May 18, 2008: Amazing concert coverage, Pam! I love the POV of the storytelling here :)
