Little_italy4_me said at 4:10 p.m. on May 18, 2008: Finn, thanks for the tip on manual focus. I was hoping that you would see my first shot and respond...cool. I really admire your macro work:) Anything you can give me is much appreciated and will get put to good use!

Debdog said at 4:49 p.m. on May 18, 2008: yes..tripod and manual helps :)
Little_italy4_me said at 7:25 a.m. on May 19, 2008: Thanks Deb, funny you say tripod...I was just looking up monopods @ B&H when I read your comment. I have a tripod but need a new one and when I was taking this shot, I said, "I NEED A TRIPOD for these macros!" Especially with no flash and on manual..you need a steady camera. :)

Wahoogin said at 4:10 p.m. on May 22, 2008: Great colors! Yes, it's hard to get the focus right on the macros. I usually take a million shots and hope I get lucky on something. A tripod seems so cumbersome most of the time.
