Nice B&W. The girl in the second shot looks very wistful as she gazes out of the window.

Anticipation (waiting for a friend), loss of patience (hurry up and get here), and joy (arrival). Wonderful set!!!

gorgeous! I wonder if there was a thought behind the child's portrait placed between the same woman's portraits, one thinkin', one smilin'...

thank you everyone! MIKE, ANNELIES: i have left the interpretation to the viewer...=) STERLING: you are very insightful!!! DEBBIE, ALLAN, EDITE, LINDA: it was a very bright day and kind of dark in the room, so bringing them close to the window provided for some natural lighting!

Woody.....these are all great and comments above already say what i would/could. My favorite is #3 - it looks to me like the MOST 'candid' and real smile during the posing process. I would wonder how many you shot to get these 3...kudos! pmc

Great black & whites! I know how difficult it is to get the exposure right in a situation like that! Looks like someone important just came home; ... and yes, I cheated, I read Sterling's comment, but that was the very first thought I had when I viewed this sequence... Couldn't have missed it if I tried. her expressions are perfect: anticipation, resigned waiting, and then her face lighting up when she sees who ever it is she's waiting for. Simple and perfect! :)
