you are welcome Maureen... She knows I loved him too... I remember Shaine and Harley playing together...their lives pass all too fast....i feel her pain too. I am SOOO glad I got to see him and spoil him a little when I was out there skiing. :)

Debra ,Very beautiful, I remember for so special someone .. I believe that the animals also take place in sky .ellos they have a great heart and give us a real love .. I lost many friends or pets and suffered very much for each of them, I have photos in all the places of my office from which they departed and left me .. but the recollection of the love them never forgets, I hope that they are in the sky........................( Muy hermoso recuerdo para alguien tan especial ..yo creo que los animales también tienen un lugar en cielo .ellos tienen un gran corazón y nos dan un verdadero amor ..yo perdí muchos amigos o mascotas y sufrí mucho por cada uno de ellos ,tengo fotos en todos los lugares de mi escritorio de los que partieron y me dejaron ..pero el recuerdo del amor de ellos no se olvida nunca ,espero que estén en el cielo ..)

hi....my MANY thanks to all my friends here on tabblo, to take the time to to help my friend through her grief... some people think"OH IT"S JUST A DOG"..but to people like me, and Maureen..animals are a GIFT...:) their LOVE and the joy they bring us. :) I wish all animals had safe homes where they are loved and cared for, and not treated as diposable objects. Shaine was lucky to have Maureen, and she him. :)

So many of us have suffered the loss of a beloved pet. Our German shepherd, Kim, was with us for thirteen years. She died in 2002, & we still miss her terribly. You know when you start the journey with a pet, that, all being equal, you will survive it and have to come to terms with its passing. If you gave them a good home and love, then you can rejoice in the quality of life they enjoyed. So many animals suffer cruelty and misery at the hands of worthless or inept owners. Great tribute to shaine, Deb.

thanks mike and Mike...yes,we love our pets, mourn the losses, but always find room in your heart for another. It does not replace, we can love each one fully :)
Thanks to youall , Maureen appreciates all the kind words.:) Ira, it is SO true...people inflict the most terrible things on their fellow man, and the animals in this world.
THanks Appropos,Jodi,(Shaine was ill when these shots were taken....but did OK till yesterday...I saw the sadness too...but he had HAPPY HAPPY days....:) I think he was thinking....:)

Deb, It is with tear stained cheeks that I write this. I want to thank you so much for the beautiful photos of Shaine and the beautiful words. I also want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to all the wonderful people that have left such kind comments. I have lost pets before, never has it been as difficult as loosing Shaine...He was intelligent and special, beyond that which I can put into words. I wrote something one time called Friendship...it just came back to mind as I was writing this comment.

Though time may change so many things the happiness that friendship brings will still remain.
The winds may blow, the seasons change, the sun shines bright until it rains, but friendship still remains.
With tear stained cheeks the memories start for treasured deep with in my heart are those of which you've been a part and friendship still remains. Always your friend.

He was a beautiful dog and it shows that he had a wonderful life. I also know how terrible a loss it is to lose a pet. Be glad that you were able to share your life with him. It is always too short a time.

It is always difficult to lose a loved one, human or otherwise, even though we know deep in our hearts that sweet loving creatures like Maureen are all happily whole and well in heaven, watching over us.
