I'm afraid that if you look at a thing long enough, it loses it's meaning.

Photosfornow said at 1:12 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: What it's still snowing in Denver? Maybe these pixs were shot eariler this year. How about those circuit.00 breaker boxes with the skull and cross bones, that cuts right to the point of the matter. Nice pixs. I would like to see the person or persons who did the art work and maybe a video interview about why did what they did to go along with the pixs. Just a thought...
Photosfornow said at 1:15 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: typo, it should have been circuit breaker boxes with out the .oo. My bad...
Photosfornow said at 1:16 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: By the way the Quote from Andy Warhol works for me...
Ira said at 2:55 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: Interesting photos. Graffiti reminds painting ancient ancestors of the people. It seems so the youth expresses the feelings and experiences in ours restless and in something wild time.
Tunderke said at 4:01 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: Love it. I am so big fan of Graffiti. LOve the feel and the look of it. I would defenetly hire tham for the paintjob. There are some nice work there.
Wildthing said at 4:37 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: Wicked. Nice to see it done by someone who knows his way round an aerosol can. I suppose it passes time, like making tabblos :)
Andre. said at 5:04 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: Fantastic and captivating photography. Thank you, Pam
Nina1960 said at 5:08 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: My son has been 1 night on police force office for graffiti, 7 years suffered... now have we in Rotterdam special places where you can make graffiti. ..where they can express their selfs⦠I find that well....some are realy artists...
Leftofcenter said at 7:52 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: weird thing is, you never actually see them "doin' it", some graffiti is art, some of it vandalism, yr eye always catches the good stuff.
Rdneg10 said at 7:56 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: Pretty cool! I believe this is always art but it can be done that results in vandalism... every spot should not be someones canvas if it is someones else's spot! Very colorful! Kelly
Pkeener said at 8:53 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: I usually throw credits up, but i wanted the Warhol to stand out. This is the loading dock of an art supply store in Boulder, Colorado. Tony, i did take these in early March, and there was snow that day. I amnot sure, but i would wager a guess that some of it was commissioned and some of it was tagged. i was driving down the alley, after shooting the photos for my Sunday Morning Coming Down tabblo, and had to take the pics.
Marian and Kelly, I think Graffiti IS vandalism. Especially the ugly Black spray painted Tags, But, I really dig urban murals. Tunde, Ira, Mike Being a photojournalist style photographer, I just like to record what is going on around me, good, bad, or ugly.
Cheers, Andre! Thanks, Leftie. I thought of you in pic #3. The lone woman stands out. walking ahead, making a statement. ;)
Msisongkram said at 9:07 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: Though personally I'm not a big fan of graffiti but I always think those people who laid their hands on this this creation must be one hell of an artisitic person. Great shot!
ElZorroTOX said at 9:35 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: I agree 100% with the post above this one....
Nina1960 said at 9:40 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: Your right Pam, I hate that too ..ugly black spray painted tags, here you see it in the metro, train, houses everywhere...my son made a beautiful graffiti real urban mural but on a place that was forbidden...so he was the klos.
Tishfish said at 9:53 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: Great job ! ! ! ! This supply store is well advertised, no one can miss it.
21-gramm said at 10:01 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: Andrej Varchola aka Andy Warhol was Slav as you know, "registration and cataloguing of life around" was his credo.. and our too! excellent catalog of graffit, Pam!
Leeuwjan said at 10:13 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: Art or vandalism that's the question, for the rest, a gripping tabblo!
Lifequest22 said at 10:26 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: Kuel tab, Pam. --There are always so many ugly bare building in a city and if the graffeti artists were allowed to fill them with their artwork, that would brighten the world a little.
OscarDaniel said at 10:34 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: I love this tabbpo Pam!!
YorkJodi said at 10:49 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: Very good job capturing this... and a wonderful way for the art store to advertise... I love mural type of graffiti... whoever they are are ARTISTS for sure... A GREAT job... as usual Pam
Charlespop said at 10:55 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: Way cool !
Cowgirl said at 10:58 a.m. on Jun 1, 2008: This is cool love the colors they used ...And there is an art to some of this. Thanks for coming to Dars party going to start partying some more today still lots of brownies and drinks left See ya around..........
Peggysuew said at 12:51 p.m. on Jun 1, 2008: i believe there is a difference between art and grafitti - this art is great - i like the beanstalk pic the best - the grafitti i tend to ignore because it mars the art - the quote is exactly perfect for this sis.. :)
AliDar said at 1:32 p.m. on Jun 1, 2008: This is so odd.. I think I'm the only one who's thinking the other way around, that this time the graffiti looks like adolescent scribblings, with the exception of the scull on the power switch (which is not very inventive, but there's some thought behind it at least), and the stencil of the bunch of orange men and one woman in white. Ha, and I'm thinking the quote works great too, but for the opposite reason. Someone was looking for too long, but i don't think it was Warhol or you Pam. Great tab!!
EMA said at 4:19 p.m. on Jun 1, 2008: For me, sometimes is art (a good art"!) but when they scribble on statues, ancient buildings, traffic signals, the walls of private property, on trains and buses, schools, monuments... they are being vandals because they are making the towns look dirty and ugly. Your tpictures captured the truth about graffitis. Looks great!
Gerardfotografeert said at 5:00 p.m. on Jun 1, 2008: Beautiful tabblo Pamela. This is for me graffiti as it should be, Art of the Street. Colorfull, sometimes shoking but always clear and with a message. Great catch.
Nakedeast said at 6:26 p.m. on Jun 1, 2008: very cool!
SterlingGray said at 8:27 p.m. on Jun 1, 2008: This is great, but also a shame. It looks like it started out as a great mural only to be ravished by someone's - probably more than one individual - ugly graffiti. What a shame. I have heard that "graffiti artist" just want respect for their work, but here is a prime example of graffiti disrespecting art. Love the quote.
Abking said at 9:19 p.m. on Jun 1, 2008: This, like a lot of wall painting, is an archaeological dig. The various levels of visual communication compete for our attention. I have to look at it awhile to sort the signal from the noise. I'm doing the opposite of what Andy is saying, but he wouldn't mind.
JuDeck said at 10:06 p.m. on Jun 1, 2008: shipping docks are normally pretty dull..not this one....good eye Keeners
Pkeener said at 11:17 p.m. on Jun 1, 2008: Andy would love it, Allan! And so do I. I really like sharing photos on Tabblo because of all the great comments, thoughts and input..I don't expect everybody to agree, and thats the coolest thing.
Debdog said at 12:21 a.m. on Jun 2, 2008: love the quote....wow very cool art....
Leftofcenter said at 10:31 a.m. on Jun 2, 2008: walkin' AHEAD, makin' a statement- that's wot it's about- keep that in mind sis.
Bxrgirl27 said at 11:26 a.m. on Jun 2, 2008: How in the world do you find this stuff? You secretly hide out in alleys w/your camera don't you? ;-)I never have my camera when I find stuff like this! You continue to inspire me my dear!
Pkeener said at 1:46 p.m. on Jun 2, 2008: Laura, you would be AMAZED at what you can find in an alley. it's like a parallel universe
AliDar said at 1:54 p.m. on Jun 2, 2008: Hey Pam, just to clarify, my comment was about the wall art, not your photography, that, like always is ART. :)
Sirnicolay said at 8:03 a.m. on Jun 3, 2008: Ahh... This might sound weird but I envy cities with cool graffitis.. I love street art.. I think it's one cool way of expressing oneself to the world by defying the society's cleanliness policy and asserting one's freedom for everyone to see. :)
Siagian said at 4:44 p.m. on Jun 3, 2008: i think MANY of these artists need to get some kind of commission for the work they do instead of being penalized for vandalism!!!
Hyhoa said at 8:10 a.m. on Jun 4, 2008: Pam,as always you have a special eye which transform Graffitis in Art . Only for these Street Arts Graffitis through your shots and Tabblos, I'm thinking to visit Denver one time ! Don' t know when ....
Pkeener said at 9:17 a.m. on Jun 4, 2008: Hello, Hyhoa, and i would love to see you, if you visit Colorado. James, I must admit, there is a lot of good art on the buildings here, some of it is good graffiti, a lot bad, and then there are the murals, which are usually very unique and beautifully executed
PhotoPop said at 11:10 a.m. on Jun 4, 2008: I sell to stores like this but there are no stores that I know that have murals. Maybe they should as they are disappearing in the northeast. Wonderful captures.
Shenresi said at 11:45 a.m. on Jun 4, 2008: wow, very special
Keeli said at 2:58 p.m. on Jun 5, 2008: Very cool tabblo Pam '-)
Jigs said at 11:38 p.m. on Jun 5, 2008: These tags are really the bomb, Pam!!! Sometimes I wish the graffiti where I live were as creative and artistic as in cities like yours. And in many instances, yeah, Warhol makes a good point!
Appropos said at 1:11 a.m. on Jun 6, 2008: i wish all graffitis are this good but sadly that is not the case
Mariusblack said at 2:43 a.m. on Jun 6, 2008: that fusebox (is it?) looks so wicked with that skull and crossbones!!! would love to do that to ours but i don't think my mom would be thrilled. hahaha! =) would love to see some cool grafittis here in the philippines, most them are just wandalisms. thanks for sharing, pam! =)
Pkeener said at 9:06 a.m. on Jun 6, 2008: Yes, Farid, if all were this cool, it would be nice, but most of it is not. Jigs and Marius, Do they strictly enforce a no graffiti rule in the Philippines? I have heard that from all of you over there. maybe it's not such a bad thing, if it keeps the ugliness off proerty. John, I think art hardware is unique AND its in BOULDER...;)
Eduardo.affonso said at 12:17 p.m. on Jun 6, 2008: I'm afraid these had lost their meaning...
