Whauw......neat job.
Wildthing said at 12:58 p.m. on Jun 5, 2008:
There's something Space Odessey-ish about this. Instead of a slab it's a tree floating in deep space. Very thought-provoking. Oh, and please add another WOW! to go with the others.

Keeli, so cool. are those stars?
YorkJodi said at 3:18 p.m. on Jun 5, 2008:
Another WOW... I thought the 1st photo was the tree silhouetted against the stars... how'd you do this?? You are amazing... oh how I wish I lived in Tampa & could go to class with you... ;)
Keeli said at 3:53 p.m. on Jun 5, 2008:
The 1st image is several layers of the 2nd image. The tree has been highlighted at different intensities for each layer and converted to different shades of sepia per layer. The background is not stars but the original image background with very low levels. Jodi you are so funny . . .I live in North Carolina but if you want to spring for a trip to Tampa . . . I am game ;-)
Keeli said at 3:54 p.m. on Jun 5, 2008:
Oh, and you guys are crackin' me up with all the WOW's . . . thanks ;-D

Excellent rendering! Especially turning the stone wall into an extention of the trunk! ... It does look like stars, like it's floating in space.
Keeli said at 10:59 p.m. on Jun 5, 2008:
Thanks Kris, Teo, Chiloedream, Den, Deb, Sterling and Dar! Sterling, I appreciate the favor! Dar, of course you would notice the trunk extension . . . you are awesome that way! I wish I could display the image larger as it is meant to be viewed.

Hollyridger said at 1:49 a.m. on Jun 6, 2008:
This is super, Keeli! When I first looked at the dark photo I thought the stone wall was perhaps a native carving fallen on its side! There is something lying on top of the wall but I don't know what it is. Excellent work...

first shot, powerful image, surreal. one is almost disappointed to see the second pic which unveils the mystery! (although it's an odd-beautiful lookin' tree)
