I just got back from El Nido, and i stayed at Minlioc.

Dyowi said at 7:42 a.m. on Jun 17, 2008: To everyone who visited and gave their inspiring comments to this tabblo thank you very much! And thank you for choosing this to be TOD. How i shot the pictures: as some of you already notices i used a 15mm fisheye lens. i also used a 14mm lens, the good thing about this lens is that the colors are so vivid. and for the rest of the pictures i used 16-35mm lens why are the colors so nice? its because i use a Polarizing filter. the filter intensifies the colors of the image and the same time you can control the amount of light that goes into the image. i also used some colored graduated filters.
for the night shots: i used the same lenses. set my camera to bulb and shot most of it around 25 to 30 secs. i also set my focus to infinity, so that the image and the color would come out much sharper. i would sometimes also use a blue filter. im also lucky with that night shots beacuse it was a full moon. my next trip will in Davao: Pearl Farm Resort Till next time.

I am such a purist when it comes to my tastes in photography; special lens and filters seem very much to me like illusionary tricks that photographers use to enhance their otherwise mundane images. But these are anything but mudane; They're quite spectacular! The beauty was there all ready, and your use of the photographic tools at your disposal captures the magic of the place for us all to see and experience. Thank you. :)

I am captivated by the blues and greens of this utopic dream that you had the privilege of travelling to and the night shots are mesmerizing. However, my favourite shot is the steely grey shot of the children in the sand. That picture is hauntingly beautiful.

I truly love the night shots with glaring lights on the water and the moon shining like the sun! I thought you're the genious in photography. Spectacular shots, splendid job!
