Me and my Mom. :) |

And this is me now. An old balding teacher. LOL. :) I feel a bit embarrassed that I shared these pictures with you. But in a way, I love how this retrospective tabblo gives me an overview of my life: how my family members and I have evolved through the years. I am still young--just turning 28 in a few months. I feel that there are still many things ahead in my life. I am eager to embrace life as it comes tumbling down slowly every moment. Life is just too beautiful and precious for us not to appreciate it and look back at how everything winds up to the present times. Whoever you are reading this tabblo, thank you in advance. I'm glad that you're right here, right now, in my life. Let's celebrate life together! Cheers! :) - James |

Welcome to my 100th tabblo! I've thought about doing this for a really long time, and I thought I would save this idea for something special. I thought it would be good to make this on my birthday, but that would mean I would have to wait for October 8, which is still quite a long time from now. So here it is: a retrospective tabblo. Initially, I thought of naming this tabblo "An Introduction Part 2" (as a continuation of an earlier tabblo) but that might not be appropriate. Hence, I decided to share more about the person behind the tabblos. The following pictures are photos from the past--all of which were, of course, originally taken by different people. (It's cool to think that I am not behind the camera in these pictures).. However, since I do not have a scanner right now, I actually laid these pictures on my table this afternoon and shot them in RAW format using my Nikon D200. The quality is not that great, but with a bit of editing, I thought that the pictures look fine by themselves. So join me as I share with you these pictures, which reveal many important parts of my life. I hope you'll enjoy this tribute to the past. :)

My mom (right most) when she was a little girl, together with my Lola (grandma) and my titas (aunts) |

My Dad as a teenager |

My father met my mom when he was around 18 and my mom was about 16. They got married 2 years later. |

This is one of my most favorite pictures of my parents. It's very funny to see them wearing PUNKS t-shirt! Hahaha! Notice also that my dad was carrying a camera here. My parents have been photographers even before we were born. |

And on October 8, 1980, I was born. My father always reminded me the story how I was born. He told me that my mother was in labor for less than 15 minutes because I was very small. He also told me how "clean" I was when I came out of my mother's womb. There was hardly any blood, according to him. |

My father was holding my brother, and of course, I am the Mama's boy. Hehe! :) |

Soon my sister was also born. My bro is a year and a half older than I am; my sister is three years younger than me. |

My father was holding my brother, and my sister's godfather was holding me. |

My first graduation picture. I graduated Salutatorian of the Kindergarten class. :) |

I was about 10 in these two pictures; maybe I was in fourth grade, I think. |

This was fifth grade together with my school bus service companions. Our school was about 30 kilometers from home. |

Definitely, this is one of my most favorite pictures ever. This is my bro; I was in 6th grade, and he was a high school sophomore. It's one of those pictures that just depict how fond we were of each other. |

The bigger dog was our most cherished pet ever. Her name was Tonton, and she's an extraordinary dog. She lived up to ten human years and gave birth to countless number of puppies. I miss her a lot. |

This was a portrait taken when I was a high school sophomore. Sheesh! I miss my hair! Hahahaha! |

Fast forward to four years. Hahaha! Sorry I didn't like my pictures when I was in senior high. I was too fat back then. LOL. |

My sister Dessa and I. She was in high school, and I was already at the University of the Philippines. |

Me. Less Hair. Older. Reading John Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath". :) This was a few weeks before I started teaching. |
