Last week, when I was passing by some cows in a pasture, my attention was drawn to a lot of commotion that was going on in the ditch next to the pasture.

This is what I saw.....

Two coots, mum and dad, were trying to keep the cow away from their offspring.

The cow, who just wanted to have a drink, was not impressed.... untill mother coot pecked the cow with her nozzle. The she decided she wasn't that thursty after all.
