San Juan de Ulua Fort, in Veracruz Mexico, was built by slaves, later used by the Spaniards to store and ship massive quantities of gold, and later also used as a prison for political prisoners, This Fort was a massive undertaking built on the sea. It is now an interesting museum that chronicles the history of the port, from the pre-Hispanic era to present day. Some serious torture went on here... They say it's haunted... |
