The Ghosts in the Fire

Several people wanted to see the ghosts in the fire... and it was requested the ghost photos be larger...

Here are the photos I thought looked kind of ghostly... When you make them larger, crop them closer, they lose the ghost effect and look only like flames...

That is with the exception of the last photo... In it the ghost remains.

You might want to view in "slide show" and best fit for my computer...

I think that some guy wearing a baseball cap got caught napping when they fired the house. Maybe they should sift through the ashes....for ashes that shouldn't be there.

Jodi--these are eerie. Excellent captures. Reminds me of the show "Ghost Whisperer."

Wow! It really looks like a man with a cap leaning to the window. Amazing! Great shots of the fire!

Yes... Patty... that's what I saw... a couple and she looks very Victorian to me. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who sees the ghosts... haha... not totally alone in this crazy world I guess ;P

Did you notice the 'ghosts' also in real or only looking back at the pictures?
PaulBarfoot said at 3:42 p.m. on Jun 30, 2008:
Great series. I once put cookie dough on a paper plate in the microwave to bake it and judged the time wrong. When I removed the smoking lump of gingerbread, the paper plate had a scorch mark that looked exactly like Andrew Jackson. Are we hard wired to see faces in random patterns or do special conditions allow us to see what is always there? I think I see Rod Serling peeking out from behind the tree in the second shot. :-)

In the last shot I see an artist in a beret and a smock with a palette in his right hand and his left arm raised to paint the canvas which is just beyond the frame of the window. He is looking intently out the window to make sure he accurately portrays a crazy photographer...

No... I did not notice the ghosts in real life... only saw them when looking at the photos...

Jodi, these are amazing. That last one looks like someone leaning his chin in his hand with elbow on the window sill looking out to see what's all the commotion is. Also see the couple in the 3rd shot. I will be looking at fire pictures more closely from now on. :-))

Cool to see the fire conjure these ghostly images.. I just hope that these will not hunt down the neighbors... *scary!*

Looks to me like a ghost party.. Someone once told me it's not a party until something is on fire or someone is getting sick from too much liquor.. hehe

These photos are very impressive, I like the fire, it's fascinating but...it must be very far or in a fireplace. Ciao
