Family Time: Boston, MA

A start to our vacation to Boston. Waiting at Midway for our plane. The excitement can't be contained.

My son was wondering around while we waited.  He seemed attached to watching the arrival/departure changes on the screen.

Is this true of all teenagers?

Our plane finally arrived and was being fueled as well as loaded with goodies for us.

As can be seen by this fisheye shot, we had the last row, up against the facilities, with no windows.

Luckily the flight was quick and not delayed.

I got a nice shot with my fisheye of the cigar shaped plane that was our "vehicle" to Boston.

After checking in, we went to the Legal Sea Foods joint on the wharf. An Icon I have visited over the years. We waited for outdoor seating.

My family isn't big on seafood, but they did enjoy this meal.

We walked down the harbor while we waited for our table.

I used an edgy effect in Lightroom to make this a bit more interested.

The sunset was beautiful. This is at the end of the pier looking back a the restaurant and Boston.

A shot of the harbor with a fisheye lens.

We finally were seated and enjoyed dinner. We all had a great time.

After dinner, we headed over to Quincy Market to do the normal tourist thing. But on the way, we saw the coolest water and light show (with fog effects). These are some of my favorite shots we took that night.

After the water show, we continued on to Quincy Market...

And a final light shots to say goodnight...

Thanks for stopping and looking.

Great pics! I also love seeing my favorite city from a new and different perspective - I'm only ever there during the day for work so I miss a lot of the sights. And I feel your pain... I was on a very long flight home from Alaska last week right in front of the bathroom!

Great shots, I have never been to Boston, but now I feel like I have had a quick visit. I paarticularly like the scene of the sunset looking back from the pier. It is like an artist's painting. Lovely soft colours and shapes. Also the night scenes are super, I really enjoyed the water and light shows. Thanks for the tour. Excellent tabblo.

Fountain shots are fabulous, Bob. The water flying, mixed w/the smoky air and the city lights behind made for a fabulous effect!
