We flew up onto the glaciers in New Zealand in 2000... what fun it was... and so beautiful!!

Thank you all for the comments. I do appreciate them. I must say that I was glad I decided to book this side trip on the cruise. I thought that perhaps I would never have the chance again to fly in a helicopter, so decided to do it, even though it was expensive. Also it took a bit of pushing and shoving for me to climb into the darn thing....but it was well worth it. The opportunity to actually stand an walk a little on the glacier was exciting also. A great memory of a wonderful holiday.
