it's not a sad backyard, it's a messy backyard, where people actually live! nice shots Den.

.. there lived a two-person family, husband and wife, each 81 years old.
a month ago they buried a daughter.
Garden state of neglect... If it not a sad, Annelies?

Looks like a lot of fun things to get into. Nice shots though ! ! ! !
Tishfish said at 3:06 p.m. on Aug 6, 2008:
Second thought, if I was 81 years old, I think my backyard would look like this, it is sad to think there is no one to help her with something they must have loved very much as their back yard with all those lovely fruit trees. Love to be there to help them.
Lifequest22 said at 3:14 p.m. on Aug 6, 2008:
Den--if i didn't know the story, i wouldn't find this sad at all. It reminds me a little of my yard. Like leftie said--a yard that people use and enjoy. good images.

such a sad story Den.... but a great back yard... under the circumstances it looks forlorn but not neglected...wonderfull qoute and images !!!
Pkeener said at 4:06 p.m. on Aug 6, 2008:
its about the best quote I have read in a long time. I guess if the title says sad in it, the artist was thinking of sad things. It is the saddest thing I can think of ever happening..to bury your child. No matter how old they were. Thank you. The photos are very nicely done.
Debdog said at 4:31 p.m. on Aug 6, 2008:
that iS SAD...to live a long life, and bury your child before you....
lots of life was lived in that backyard...:)
Debdog said at 4:31 p.m. on Aug 6, 2008:

Suddenly for me simple and usual tabblo has created a wave of sincerity and complicity!
Thank you again!
YonderCreature said at 1:04 a.m. on Aug 8, 2008:
Another tabblo that you combine so many opposites, yet there is still harmony. In the fruit, there is hope of new life. In the tools and furniture, there is the evidence of life despite death. The fact that you and so many people seem to care shows that humanity is not lost and in death, we can still hold on to the joy of life. Thank you for sharing these photos and the story of this family.

You're right, Den...it is sad. However, seeing the fruit in the midst of it all lifted my spirits. As usual, great shots and unusual angles.
