FALL COLORS

Gather as much of the "warmth" of autumn as you can.....the beauty..... the color..... the freshness...

with rich bounty of harvest, with brisk, invigorating air, with flurries of activities in preparation for the new season.

And then the leaves begin to fall

as all nature seeks a time of rest.

Search out and savor the most precious leaves.....

And as winter knocks in her own time, autumn shuts her door quietly and slips away.

Receive the fullness of the season and the warmth of autumn will be a strength to you in the cold of winter.

Autumn wonder on display.....

It's color splashed in full array.

The hillsides and the valleys wear ...vibrant colors painted there.

Flaming red and brilliant gold.....Shades of orange so bright and bold.

Change is inevitable...but for the Earth it is nearly a time to rest.

Wonderful "Ode to Autumn" Linda. Lovely photos, did you take them locally, or maybe in the lower Laurentians? We haven't been anywhere yet to see the leaves in all their glory, other than the trees in the city and surrounding countryside close to home. These are great.

Autumn and Spring are for me the most interesting times of change, so much so that I have planted my garden here in Ireland with trees and shrubs that give me a taste of Canadian seasonal colour. My all time favourite is the Maple and particularly the brilliance of (Acer Palmatum 'Osakazuki'). A Japanese specimen that generates an awesome display of fiery red, given the right growing conditions of course.
I can only imagine the partnership of maple with aspen sharing a sloping hillside in the Canadian Rockies. Some day I will stand in awe of such a wondrous display of colour. Your scenes of rustic furnishings against this autumn backdrop are so distracting for my travel plans, someday.... . Mike.
