Santa Fe - New Mexico

These are some great photos from our trip to Santa Fe. We were there in the fall so you will notice the amazing colors on the trees. It was the perfect time of year to see Santa Fe. The sky was clear, the air was cold and the food was incredible as I'm sure it is all year around.

The Loreto Chapel was built between 1873 and 1878 and it's best know for it's wooden spiral staircase that was built by a mystery man using no nails or screws. When the mystery man was finished and it was time for the nuns to pay him, he had disappeared. What? You've never seen one!

When Santa Fe was established in 1607, an Inn or La Fonda was one of the first businesses in town. On the same site as multiple Inn's before it the La Fonda Hotel was built in 1922 and is still a very nice place to stay in Santa fe today.

We didn't stay there though. Thats just what I heard.

THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!!!

The photos below are from one of our favorite retaurants during this trip, Tomasita's. They are known for thier Sopapillas and Margarita's which was fine with me.

Here are some beautiful and eclectic examples from the local artisans of Santa Fe.

...some nature shots too!

Below are some shots from our day in Taos. It's amazing that the Pueblo houses are still occupied today.

You will notice the shots from the Rio Grande River Gorge Bridge. It spans 650 feet above the river and is pretty breathe taking especially when it's 27 degrees outside.

...and how could we forget Frito Pie?

Does it need explanation?

Enough said!
