Cruisin' is a show that routinely brings together over 3000 owners of show cars & trucks each September to raise money for prostate cancer research.
But it wasn't always that way. Many people thought putting a show together of this type would fail to garner the attention of hot rodders outside of our South Orange County roots.
Yet, the first year on a rainy day, over 600 came out after the rain stopped.
And the two leaders of the event, Debbie Baker and Ross Kroenert haven't looked back since.
Enjoy this look of a show as it comes together two days before the gates open and then see what happens as show day starts at 4:00 in the morning... |
A quick cup of coffee, a muffin and off to work we go... |

It is almost eerie to see the fairgrounds empty like this... |

The first of hundreds of cones are laid out... |

You can't sneak over to Centennial Farm to what they are growing... |

And what was just borne.... |

This is probably against the rules...but the Meguiar's guys proudly raise the company flag... |

Then it is time to set up the raffle and ticket sales areas... |

The Bigfoot Monster truck makes an appearance... |

...it just barely fits in the truck even with street tires... |

If a rodder wants to park his car inside for the day...we'll let them...for a price... |

At 4:00 in the morning it is too dark to take pictures and there is no time to take them...ask anyone on the 4:00 shift... |
...but by 9:00, over 3,000 vehicles have been parked and the owners are ready to have a great time! |

The most important time of the day is getting your free PSA test done!!! |

Each year the antique fire truck group starts the parade. It is an amazing assembly of fire trucks and engines... |

Even the guys with the big trucks want to take a ride around our closed loop cruising lane... |

More guys lining up to get PSA tests... |
