Glad to see you posting again - and with your unmistakable touch. Love each shot.
Pkeener said at 9:20 p.m. on Oct 30, 2009:
Thank you Eduardo! I have been very busy and can't seem to finish my edits. I loved San Francisco, and enjoyed my time there walking about with my camera. The Noe Valley District is where we stayed, and it was a treat to be there. A real neighborhood, complete with Farmer's Market, coffee houses, cafe's and Noe's Bar!
Michelleyork said at 9:29 p.m. on Oct 30, 2009:
Yup! That's SF..Great Tabblo...you captured some great little moments and details, like the doors,,etc.
Leftofcenter said at 10:39 p.m. on Oct 30, 2009:
love it when u take us to places I'll probably never travel to, even a cool city like SF.. rub-a-dub-dub laundromat, the "homeless are" in the cement, the "warning STRANGE dog" sign (lol) , only you would find these for us- yeah, like Edu said, the PK touch. I know there's more to come, the green onions are a dead give away! :)))
Pkeener said at 10:51 p.m. on Oct 30, 2009:
Leftie! You are so astute..the green onions caught my attention, as you know..and yes more tabblos to come. Thank you for your great comments. The strange dog was so funny...and oddly, i thought of Mugsy!
Leftofcenter said at 10:56 p.m. on Oct 30, 2009:
Mugsy is a strange dog... TGIF!
Tunderke said at 11:38 p.m. on Oct 30, 2009:

Ms. Keener,
You sure do know how to look at a town. Analytic and penetrating. Thanks for sharing.
Karsten said at 12:31 a.m. on Oct 31, 2009:
Yeah!! PK-touch for sure - i love this Pam - and so great that this one is for Noe.. ;-) The market place looks so fun! And the murals are suberb!! Thanks for the tour and i have to tell Noe that we have to visit "his" district".. hehe
Moorlerche said at 12:48 a.m. on Oct 31, 2009:
At the middle of the European night I first thought I was looking at tabblo of Noe, till the penny dropped: I was looking at the title. Great market atmosphere and I really love the greenhouse in picture no. 1. Whoever painted the sign did a lovely job.
AliDar said at 2:21 a.m. on Oct 31, 2009:
Rub a Dub Dub Dub, three men in a tub take on new meaning. :) ... Of course Annelies picked out my other favourites before I got the chance to. <GRIN>
Chilla said at 3:27 a.m. on Oct 31, 2009:
Pam, these pictures really bring the community to life as if one was there! The mural on the wall is amazing! I love the candids of the farmer's market and the beautiful buildings. A lovely Tabblo and I look forward to the next!

Wildthing said at 7:34 a.m. on Oct 31, 2009:
What a great, quirky, exciting tabblo. I agree with Scully over 'The homeless are people too', and the 'strange dog' shots. So much to keep looking at here, Pam. A fave.

Good morning, Pam. Your tabblo is full of good times recorded in a beautiful neighborhood, lively and diverse market, Excellent photos. Thank you.
Pkeener said at 9:39 a.m. on Oct 31, 2009:
Thank you all for walking through the Noe Valley. I wish I had taken more shots there, but we spent most of our time exploring the rest of the city.

Tunde, maybe your ida of hell is sunshine and beauty! But there are plenty of dark spots in any large city ;)
Stan, Hey! Your comments are always worth more than my photos
Neusinha, thank you! Noe Valley is a fun place for photography
Bob, the fire truck was just waiting to be photographed!
Mike, you and your cam would fit right in!
Heidi, your photos are among my favorites on Tabblo.
Oscar, the architecture is so amazing there. thank you
Celia, yes, a real community. i loved the atmosphere there.
Dar, well, re the 3 men in a tub..a couple hours later, we were on the train and it was completely packed with people in costumes going to the Castro District for a 2 day Gay Rights festival. This IS San Francisco! and the costumes put Denver to shame, for sure..;)
ANke..Noe's name was everywhere and of course i thought of him and how wonderful his tabblo would be of the neighborhood
Thank you KArsten! I see you recovered from your Birthday Bash You and Noe would enjoy a trip there. go in OCTOBER. I guess it's the perfect time for weather. And it was so gorgeous every day.

You are seeing with your heart !!! Great Tabblo !!!
PhotoPop said at 12:12 p.m. on Oct 31, 2009:
San Francisco is the only other city I would want to live in other than Boston. A pot- pourri of old and new.
The counter-culture is still alive and well in SF. Serving heaping portions of strange and ordinary from Soul Food to Strange Dogs, all wrapped up in a community. A wonderful pictorial essay.
Bravemoonbearer said at 12:20 p.m. on Oct 31, 2009:
What a cool district to visit. You really captured the sites.I really like the small fire truck as I had one as a child and have lots of good memories.Like your perspective on the buildings.Very up beat tabblo,Pam.
Fabio_DL said at 12:51 p.m. on Oct 31, 2009:
Pam, I loved all the pictures, especially the ones with the words on the sidewalks, and that with the newspaper boxes (terrific this one!) Thanks so much and I love all your work!
Lifequest22 said at 1:05 p.m. on Oct 31, 2009:
Perfect tabblo with all the signature marks of PKeener..Street photography at it's finest..I always feel like I'm there through your images. I love how you capture all the details that may often be unnoticed--the two women at the bus stop outside of Noe's Bar. And of course the sidewalk markings and unusal sgns. and the people doing what ever it is they are doing at the moment you snap the shutter.
AdSR said at 2:08 p.m. on Oct 31, 2009:
Cool stuff. Now you and Mike should trade places. This would be interesting. :)
Noe said at 3:02 p.m. on Oct 31, 2009:
WOW...!!! I think it would be fun to walk there and see my name everywhere. THANKS A LOT PAM!!! This is a very nice detail, and very cool too! I appreciate it very much!! As Karsten said, this urban photography has the stamp of PK... your style for urban shots is unique, THANK YOU VERY MUCH DEAR!! :o)
Pkeener said at 4:19 p.m. on Oct 31, 2009:
Linda, I shot Noe's Bar from 3 different angles, and I had to go with that one! The 2 women caught waiting and daydreaming...I really appreciate your insight into my pics. Taking them and then creating the Tabblo really takes me back to the memories of the trip.
Fabio, I really love your on the scene tabblos, too.
John, I would so LOVE to live there. But I think I couldn't really afford it. I still feel the community spirit that rubbed off everywhere we went.
Sandy, that truck was so endearing to me. sitting atop the pile of stuff raring to go.
Arthur, thank you! I would love to trade Mike and go across the pond for a spot of England photography

Noe, it was so cool! ANd the colors also reminded me of your beautiful tabblos and photos. Maybe some day you will travel there, and bring back a sign with your name!
Pkeener said at 4:21 p.m. on Oct 31, 2009:

Love your perspective on life
Pkeener said at 10:56 a.m. on Nov 1, 2009:
Leftie, you got it! except, Noe Valley is the antithesis of Pleasant Valley (suburban hell) neighborhood and the Milk. I also shot the Harvy Milk Center and shot some pics of the murals from the car..coming soon. Thank you Jane..quite a difference from the market in Japan Town. Jamsie, just aobut everything there is a beautiful shot of some kind.

Thierry, there seems to be a lot of sidewalk etching, and i think it must be from the reconstruction after the recent Earthquakes

Thank you Kevin! I appreciate that
