Virginia Voices - Ed Southern

Ed Southern, editor of The Jamestown Adventure, read excerpts from his book to an audience at the Roanoke County Public Library, and described what life was like for our first settlers.

The Jamestown Adventure is a collection of contemporary accounts of our first colony. The texts date from 1605, two years before the first landing, to 1614, when the marriage of Pocahontas and John Rolfe secured a brief measure of peace for the colonists.
