Dan Barefoot, author of Haunted Halls of Ivy, discussed collecting and researching ghost stories, shared a personal ghostly experience, and talked about writing this, and other, books. He then read the story of Adelicia Acklen, the ghost of Belmont University in Nashville, TN.

Afterward, Mr. Barefoot talked with audience members and signed copies of his book.

Haunted Halls of Ivy: Ghosts of Southern Colleges and Universities is a collection of ghost stories from 39 institutes of higher learning in 13 southern states. Virginia colleges include the College of William and Mary, Sweet Briar, the University of Virginia, and Virginia Military Institute.
