Michelle has shown a surprising aptitude for cooking ever since we arrived in Central Asia. We subsisted on prepared foods while working on our M.A.'s back in Canada. We had no idea of her untapped skills back then.

Here Michelle has decided to make a spongecake. Now, I am not 2% of the assistant chef I used to be, but I know that this is not for the faint of heart. Michelle's heart neither fainted nor faultered. In the end, our came a delicious and perfectly made spongecake! It was for a birthday of a friend out here.
