wow! Setu you are in top form dude. ive never actually seen one, but my father from his travels used to tell me that they called it the FOTF because from afar, it looked like the forest was on FIRE!

Thank you so much everyone. We call this flower KESUDO in Gujarati. It blooms at the time of HOLI and used as natural color for HOLI especially for God in temples. It is also an Ayrvedic Herb.

Good shots. :o) Very pretty colours. This flower is called "Palash" in hindi & it's a sacred tree for the Hindus. It's scientific name is Butea Monosperma.
