Baby at 4 weeks old
Figuring out that Cris might be pregnant, we rushed to the hospital to consult her doctor.
Her tests turned out to be positive but still it was too early for us tell at this stage, given that only the gestational sac can be seen in the ultrasound.
The baby is still hiding in that sac somewhere.... only time can tell ... |

Baby at 6 Weeks and 4 Days
After two weeks, we went back to the hospital. This time we were able to confirm that Cris is really pregnant. Wipee... We are going to be parents! Is it a girl or a boy... Nobody can tell at this stage... Again, only time will tell...
The baby is now visible from the ultrasound. At seen, the yolk (where the baby will be getting her nutriets) is even bigger than the baby itself.

Baby at 10 Weeks
After 4 weeks, we can already see our baby, complete with a head, two hands and two feet from the ultrasound. Oops, what's that in the middle of our baby's legs??? Is it a male organ?... Nope... probably it is just the tip of the baby's spine. Still too early to tell whether the baby is a he or a she. |

Baby at 10 Weeks
Another shot of baby. She keeps on wiggling. The doctor had a hard time measuring her because she kept on moving around that small house of hers |

|
Baby at 20 Weeks
Another 10 weeks, and then we've seen the miracle of life. From a small dot, the baby now has a face, complete with ears, eyes, nose, and mouth.
What you can see is our baby's skull. Looks like spiderman's mask.... Maybe our baby will become a super hero someday.... :) |
|
Another shot of our baby in her 20th week. We still can't tell if it is a boy or a girl. |

|
... and more shots. This time the baby is curled safely in her house. She is getting bigger and bigger. We wonder how she can really fit in that small house of hers... |
|
What is that...... Can you see the baby's face already... :)

|
Baby at 21 Weeks
Our baby waving at us. Still very elusive, we cannot determine whether our baby is a boy or a girl. Now, we can see the head and body and her small hand on top of her head. |

|
Baby at 21 Weeks
Our baby is really getting bigger and bigger by the day. You can see her spine as she goes into fetal position... probably the most comfortable for her... |

|
Baby at 28 Weeks
After several weeks... and so many sleepless nights, we finally saw our baby. We went to the hospital early Saturday morning of July 1, 2006 for the 3D/4D ultrasound. |

|
... it took us several tries... After the fourth attempt, we were able to determine the gender of our baby... IT'S A BABY GIRL!!! |

We are calling her Amanda Paris Dominique
