After I was finished with the Summer Palace, and with still some time left to spare, I headed over to the OLD Summer Palace. The Old Summer Palace is known for its Western Architecture in ruins. The whole place was ravaged and burned down by French and British troops during 1860. What a pity. If everything was still standing, it would be gorgeous, like Linderhof Palace in Bavaria, Germany. This is what the place as become after 147 years.
