Noah ( Hebrew)--"Peaceful"

We had a difficult time agreeing on a name for our fourth son but after about 8 months of pregnancy we figured that we’d better hurry up and decide. Our other boys all have Biblical names so that narrowed the field a little, but still a consensus was difficult to reach. We were finally able to agree on Daniel Noah. He is such a sweet and calm baby. It suits him well.

"Every member of the church of Christ having children is to bring them unto the elders before the church, who are to lay their hands upon them in the name of Jesus Christ, and bless them in his name."

Doctrine & Covenants 20:70

In our religion (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) we don't have infant baptism, but when a baby is born he or she is given a name and a blessing. My husband performed this blessing in church on Sunday, August 5. This was a very special and significant event for  our family. We love Daniel so much and are glad he is ours.
