Me, When I Was Little

This is the only photograph I have of me when I was a child. I think the older girl is my Aunt Donna, and by the looks of the tea towels drying on the bushes, it must have been a family picnic or camping trip. Perhaps my Mom can fill in the rest of the details.  ...Dar

This is soooo sweet Dar. That is Linda LeBlanc, your cousin and yes, we were on a picnic, and it was almost like making meals at home, dishes were washed and dish cloths were washed out and hung on the bushes, you would think on a picnic we would have taken paper plates, but no, we had to wash them so that meant a dish pan, liquid soap and dish cloths. LOL. This was taken near Windsor close to Annapolis Valley.

How very cute! I just scanned in 2 OLD pictures of myself for my aunt...maybe I'll do a similar page. Tho, I have about a million pictures of myself...despite the fact that I'm practically an antique! My mom was in advertising & my dad was in film/car promotion...both LOVED taking pictures! Your single picture is worth so much more than my bazillion....much more precious.

Thanks everyone! And yes, thanks Lefty; A big part of sharing old photos is that when you take the time to haul them out of the box you get to look at them again yourself. ... and there's just something so funny about looking at photos of yourself when you were a baby. You think, is that me? But there is something about you that you recognize, and you really wanna hear every detail about the moment, like you're trying to fill in the blanks of your memory or something.

And Hey Shampoo; your comment made me burst out laughing. LOL, it's what people say isn't it?, but you know, I do recognize myself in that little urchin, except for the dress of course. <grin>

(chuckling) ... Just teasing you back Mom! <grin> ... It's a good photo and I think you did a good job with it! I loved it the minute I saw it; I love the lighting and the soft focus, and now that it's faded a bit, I love that too! It's now a digital file so it won't fade anymore, and I don't think I will do any to it, I like it just the way it is! :)

... Yep, Mom's right Pam; it was the only photo I actually asked for. At the time I suppose I didn't think of how precious something like this could be, and besides, they were my Mom's keepsakes, ... but when I saw this one I had to ask for it. I'm very glad I did because shortly after the house was sold, and before the stuff in the attic could be retrieved, there was a fire and everything was lost.

...LOL, Hey Mom; I'm wearing a dress in this photo, but you're right of course, I was very much a tomboy, and I still am. <grin>

Linda, nope, didn't have little plaid shirts and jeans. LOL, not until I was somewhere around 14 years old ... Mom didn't like it much though; I think all mums what to dress their little girls up like little girls! :)

Sweet photo. There's something about those old snapshots that make them seem sometimes that they were created with the memory instead of a camera.
