The France leg of the trip was very enjoyable. We visited Mont St. Michel and the American cemetery at Omaha beach first. Then went on to Versaille and Paris |

The view from the Eiffel Tower is spectacular. Unfortunately, it was a little hazy that day. We did have to wait about an hour to get to the top. You can feel the tower sway some at the very top. |

The Arc de Triomphe is a neat monument built in the late 1800s to honor French soilders. There was a big ceremony the day we were there. It is a long climb to the top but it offers great views of the city as well. This is the only place Michael had any significant contact with the opposite sex. Of course, I was forbidden from taking a photo of the encounter. |

Napoleans Tomb is also a site to see. Quite ornate and very photogenic. The military museum is close by as well |

Montmarte is on the perimeter of the city sitting on a hill top. Many art galleries and restauraunts are there. Some of the pictures from the left are also of Napolean's Tomb. |

Eating was a big part of the experience in France. Wine is the most affordable beverage. Unfortunately, Michael preferred Coke. |

Clearly, we took too many photos of Michael. But it looks like he enjoyed the trip |

Notre Dame has undergone some serious resortation since we were last in Paris. The facade has been cleaned in front and some of the artwork inside has also been restored. We climbed this as well. The line to get into the towers is not very long, but because they only let about 20 people in at a time, the wait was about 90 minutes. |
