Fenway in April

We went to a baseball game at Fenway for the first time ever.  We are not a big sports family, but a neighbor gave us the tickets, so we gave it a try.

The boys liked the spectacle of the stadium

We were in the first row of the balcony, so we could look down and see the whole verdant field spread out before us

<<<<  Looking over the railing...

...was a little disconcerting, though   vvvv

<<<<   Yum, Fenway Franks

Boston landmarks visible in the distance.   vvvv

I was fascinated to see the off-camera stuff that happens during the game, like the groundskeeping crew that scurried out every three innings to groom the infield.

We had a (mostly) good time (Ben got bored, but we had a pad for him to draw on).

Our good wishes were not enough, though: the Sox lost to the Mariners, 3-0.  :-(

What a day! I wish that we could get some sort of better signifier than << and >> -- I feel like I am back to ASCII art here.

Great pics! I too like watching all the goings on in the park too - stuff you don't see on NESN or ESPN. And of course you have to have some Fenway franks!
