My trip to Peru...there is so much to say, I don't know where to start! I'll just say that it was an amazing experience, and I would love to go back. So here are most of the (good) pictures I took in Sicuani, a small city high in the Andes mountains of Cusco.
Left: Rufina with her sons Isaac and Ishmael (She no w has a third son who was recently born).
Bottom: Maranganí. A Quechua woman walking. Children playing in the dirt.

Below left: The group of travelers from my church (St. Anastasia's) that I went toPeru with (minus Raul, who wasn't with us at the time) visiting with the bishop of Sicauni.
Below right: The street market |

Above: Laundry hanging to dry and Eucalyptus trees being cut (the smell is wonderful!). Right: Mountains surrounding Sicuani Below: Raul, the young man Elizabeth was helping get past his depression through art therapy. Below Right: Elizabeth Larson climbing the ladder to Raul's tiny portion of the house. His family of 8 lives in the two small bedrooms on the upper floor of this adobe house. |
