Swallows

I noticed a few Barn Swallows by  one of the bird boxes where there are actually Tree Swallows nesting.  I thought it was cool that the Tree Swallows were welcoming their guests since they usually will drive off other birds.

I have about 24 bluebird boxes on fence posts out in the country. 17 were in use this spring. Love the pictures and if you told me twenty years ago that I would be building birdhouses and driving by them to see "my birds" I would have said you were nuts. I'm 49 and want to think I am making a difference.
