Rooftop seats at a Cubs game

Here's the pregame scene along Sheffield.

Along Sheffield Ave. in Chicago, across from Wrigley Field, lie a number of fantastic Chicago-style three flats. Most (all?) of them offer rooftop seating during Cubs games. The buildings are tall enough -- and Wrigley is short enough -- that sitting on the rooftops offers a full view into the ballpark. I had my first Wrigley rooftop experience on July 29, 2006, with a couple of friends celebrating a bachelor party.

The view into Wrigley Field was pretty great. We might as well have been in the stadium.

Here's the view of the scoreboard.

From the back of the roof, we could see the Addison el station, with the Chicago skyline in the background.

3639 N. Sheffield was our rooftop of choice.

Neighboring rooftops had a similar setup.

I was at one of these just a few weeks ago - probably about two buildings over from you. My party was just inside the right field foul pole. You brought back some good memories.
